About
Hi! I'm Kate Schulz
Thanks for meeting me here!
I'm an educator through and through. My parents were both teachers and I grew up with conversations about education around the dinner table. From there, I went to school for biology and quickly found that teaching about the natural world was my favorite thing. Life has twists and turns, and my career went from nature center, to alternative high schools, the Rhode Island Department of Education, non profits, and now podcast and consultant life. Wouldn't change a thing- I have worked with some of the smartest and most creatively mission driven folks. I've learned so much and been able to contribute to meaningful work.
Lately, I love to have coaching conversations and am producing a podcast on educational leadership, The Exit Ticket. When I'm not working, I have a partner, step-kids, and a terrier named Finn. He's usually the one with me in the garden, on a hike, or begging for cheese as I make dinner.
But really, enough about me. What about you? Let's have a conversation today!
